On 1 June 2007 President of the Institute for Public Policy, Ambassador Muratbek Imanaliev was elected a chairman of the Council of “Wise Men”, a consultative council under the Foreign Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic. The council includes the country's most experienced diplomats, including Ambassadors Abdurazakov, Otunbaeva, Beshimov and others. The council was summoned with the initative of Foreign Minister Karabaev, and is expected to provide valuable advices on salient foreign policy matters.
