Short policy reports for the IPP

The Institute for Public Policy aims to provide balanced, objective and reliable assessment of policies, processes and tendencies in Kyrgyzstan.

The IPP has a diverse audience, which includes researchers, policy-makers, international organizations, private and non-governmental organizations within and outside Kyrgyzstan. This means that short policy reports must be sufficiently informative and comprehensible for a wide audience.

A short policy report must have a length of 1000-1200 words.

The following is a guideline on the structure of the report:

1. Brief statement of the issue and conclusions

2. Brief history/background of the issue

3. Implications/consequences: assessment of open and latent implications of the problem for a wider community

4. An analysis of current policy and evaluation of alternative policy options

5. Conclusions/recommendations (what should be done and how, what needs to be taken care and accentuated).
